Four choices offered as A6 allroad engines
The new A6 allroad quattro will initially be available with a choice of four powerful and highly cultivated V6 engines all with turbocharging and direct injection:
-
One 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine
-
Three 3.0-litre TDI units
They make use of important technologies from the Audi modular efficiency platform – the start-stop system and innovative thermal management – and their fuel consumption has been cut by as much as 20% in the A6 allroad quattro, compared with the previous model.
-
The 3.0 TFSI, which is boosted by a mechanically-driven supercharger, powers the A6 allroad quattro from 0 to 62mph in 5.9 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph.
-
The ‘combined cycle’ fuel economy figure is an impressive 31.7mpg.
-
The two A6 allroad engine variants of the 3.0 TDI produce 204PS and 245PS. The entry-level version achieves a combined economy figure of 46.3mpg, corresponding to 159g/km of CO2.
All four engines are paired with the seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission. It can be operated manually, using either the gear lever or optional paddles on the steering wheel, and is a major contributor to the A6 allroad quattro’s fuel efficiency.
