Ashes-to-Ashes Quattro at Watford Audi
This weekend we were lucky to have on display the famous bright red Audi Quattro from the television series Ashes to Ashes. This is the actual car driven by DCI Gene Hunt in his quest to rid 1980’s Manchester of the worst criminals whilst his assistant DI Alex Drake tries desperately to get herself back to present day. In the series the car is Hunt’s pride and joy but it certainly looked like the stunts had taken their toll on the car as it has now covered 160000 miles.

Great news if you are a fan of the hit TV show, Ashes To Ashes. Our head of business, Paul Greenberg, has somehow managed to borrow DCI Gene Hunt’s Audi quattro for the day and it will be on display at our Watford Audi Centre tomorrow Saturday 13 February!

Audi A1 - New photos added to Flickr
The Audi A1’s official public launch will be at the Geneva Motor Show ( 4 to 14 March). It is expected to open for ordering in May and first UK customer deliveries are likely to be around October 2010. Take a look at our very latest photos of the sporty A1 on the M25 Audi Flickr photostream..
Showroom Tax
This additional tax was announced in the last budget and comes into force from 1st April 2010. It is an additional first year tax and is affecting the cars which have the highest CO2 emissions to encourage drivers to buy greener cars. After the first year the amount you pay each will also change but will not be as high as in the first year.
How much will I pay?
Well, that depends on the car but it could be as much as £950 in the first year. However, many cars have had a reduction and those cars which have a CO2 of less than 130 g/km will pay no tax at all. Great news.. our Finchley Road Aftersales Team romped to victory in the Audi Twin Cup National Final last night at the prestigious Luton Hoo Hotel. Achieving the highest combined score for both a practical and theoretical examination, our team of six clearly showed the necessary skill set to beat seven other UK Audi Centres.
Besides winning the coveted Audi Twin Cup trophy, we will now represent England in the International final next year, rumoured to be held in China! The team were delighted with their performance and result yesterday evening, and their elation continued this morning despite being snowed in at the venue. Im proud to have such skilled and knowledgable staff at my Finchley Road Audi centre.
