New sponsorship deal with golfer Tom Lewis

Up and coming professional golfer Tom Lewis has just taken delivery of a fabulous Audi A5 Coupé Quattro – thanks to a two-year sponsorship deal with M25 Audi.

Just 20 years old, Tom has been tipped by many to become the UK’s next golfing superstar – not least for his brilliant performance in this year’s British Open at Royal St George’s, having qualified via Local Final Qualifying at Rye.

About the Sponsorship deal, Tom said: “I am very excited to be driving an Audi A5, thanks to my new partnership with M25 Audi.

“I can’t tell you how many times I used to drive past their showrooms during my amateur days admiring all the cars on their forecourts and hoping that one day I could have an opportunity to be driving a car of that calibre.”

At the Open this year, he recorded a first round score of 65, five under par, and became the first amateur to lead the Open in more than 40 years.  It was also the lowest single-round score by an amateur in Open history.  He finished the tournament in equal 30th place and won the Silver Medal for best-placed amateur.

Tom turned professional in September after helping the GB & Ireland team to victory in the Walker Cup at Aberdeen’s Royal Golf Club.  After finishing a creditable tenth in his debut at the Austrian Open, he recorded a thrilling two-shot victory in only his third professional outing – the Portugal Masters on the European Tour.  As a result, he has secured his card for the 2012 European Tour.

The Audi Tom will be driving for the next two years is an A5 Coupé 2.0 T FSI S line 211PS S tronic quattro, in quartz grey metallic with sports suspension, sports seats and a multi-function steering wheel with F1-style gear-shift paddles.
