Safety meets ergonomics

Audi cars are renowned for their top-of-the-line safety equipment and the Audi Q5 is no exception. On the front seats, the belt force limiters and airbags work together in a new, intelligent manner. Much of the body of is made of high and ultra-high-strength steel precision-assembled components, which reduce weight but improve crash safety, rigidity and vibration patterns.

The unique driver-oriented cockpit is set higher in keeping with the upright seating position. The classic, yet exemplary Audi ergonomics make liberal usage of fine materials such as aluminium, exclusive woods, chrome, leather and Alcantara. There is also a large selection of optional design packages available.

An electromechanical parking brake, intelligent chip key, climate control system, display screen in the instrument cluster and central monitor all come as standard. If an onboard navigation system is added, many of the controls are shifted to the Multi Media Interface panel on the centre console. This is the next generation of the best operating system on the market – offering more intuitive graphics and control via the large rotary pushbutton.
